How to play
The goal
Arrange all your cards into melds and be the first to finish. Collect Maal (bonus) cards on the way.
4 players, 3 decks (156 cards), 21 cards each. One card is turned face up to start the discard pile. One more is set aside face down: the hidden Maal card. The rest is the stock.
Play goes clockwise, starting after the dealer. A game is 5 rounds.
Your turn
Draw one card: tap the stock, or pick up the top discard. You may only pick up the discard if it makes a meld right away with two cards in your hand.
Optionally Show (once) or Finish (after showing), see below.
Discard one card: tap it, then tap Discard. You always hold 21 cards between turns.
Melds
Pure sequence: 3 or more in a row, same suit4♥ 5♥ 6♥
Ace can be low or high…A♠ 2♠ 3♠ · Q♠ K♠ A♠
…but sequences don't wrap roundK♣ A♣ 2♣
Tunnela: 3 identical cards (counts as pure)8♣ 8♣ 8♣
Trial: 3 of a rank in different suits9♠ 9♥ 9♦
Show and see the Maal
After drawing, lay down 3 pure melds of 3 cards (pure sequences or tunnelas, no jokers). Select the 9 cards and tap Show. Find melds picks them for you if you have them.
Your shown cards stay on the table and still count as yours. Now you see the Maal card, and from now on its jokers are wild for you. Players who haven't shown never get jokers.
All of these are wild once you've seen the Maal: they can stand in for any card in a sequence or trial. They get a gold M badge in your hand.
Every copy counts (there are 3 decks). If the Maal is a King, its Poplu is the Ace; if it's an Ace, its Jhiplu is the King.
Finishing
After showing, you finish when, after your draw, every card in your hand but one fits into melds: sequences (jokers allowed), trials (jokers allowed) or tunnelas. Tap Finish: your hand is arranged and your last card goes face down.
Example with Maal 7♥: 4♠ 7♣ 6♠ is a sequence (7♣ stands in for 5♠).
If the stock runs out, the round ends with no winner.
Scoring
Maal points only count for players who have seen the Maal (shown cards included). With T = everyone's Maal points added up, each player gets Maal × 4 − T. Players who haven't seen count 0, so they pay T.
Example: you have 8, Sunita 3, the others haven't seen. T = 11. You +21, Sunita +1, the others −11 each.
Game points to the winner: 10 from each player who hasn't seen, 3 from each who has.
Totals run over 5 rounds. Highest total wins.
You have 40 seconds per turn. When time runs out you draw from the stock and your least useful card is discarded.
Not included: the dublee (7 pairs) finish, Man cards, and kidnap/murder variants.
