How to play
The goal
Get rid of all your cards by making pairs. Don't be the last one holding a card.
4 players, one deck. Before the deal, one card is taken out face down and set aside unseen. Its colour partner is now the odd card: the one card in play that can never be paired.
The other 51 cards are dealt out, so players get 12 or 13 cards. The dealer moves round each round.
What is a pair (jut)?
Same rank, both redK♥︎ K♦︎
Same rank, both black7♠︎ 7♣︎
Not a pair: same rank but one red and one black7♠︎ 7♥︎
Playing
First, everyone throws all their pairs face up on the table.
Then, in turn clockwise (starting after the dealer), each player draws one card blind from the next player's hand. For you that's the player on your left: tap any of their face-down cards.
If the card makes a pair with one of yours, the pair is thrown down. Then the player you drew from takes their turn and draws from their neighbour.
Run out of cards and you're safe. Players who are safe are skipped: you draw from the next player who still has cards.
Losing
The last player left holding a card has the odd card and is the Jutpatti loser for that round. Then the set-aside card is revealed.
Each round's loser gets one loss on the scoreboard. Fewest losses is best.
You have 20 seconds to draw; if time runs out, a random card is drawn for you.
Players shuffle their hands now and then, so you can't follow where a card went. Use Shuffle to mix yours, or Sort to line it up.
Local variations
Rules vary from home to home. Some add a Joker as the odd card instead of setting a card aside, some pair any two cards of the same rank, and some draw from the previous player instead. This version uses a set-aside card, same-colour pairs and drawing from the next player clockwise.
