How to play
The goal
Each side has 9 coins: White or Black. Flick the striker to knock your coins into the four corner pockets.
The first side to pocket all 9 wins the board, but only once the red queen has been pocketed and covered (by either side).
Your shot
Slide the striker along your baseline, between the two red circles: drag the striker, or use the slider in the frame below it. It can't sit on top of a coin.
Pull back from the striker like a slingshot and let go. The dotted line shows where it goes and the first piece it hits; the ring and the bar show the power.
Shots must go forward, away from your own cushion. Coins behind your baseline can only be reached off a cushion.
You have 30 seconds. When time runs out, a shot is played for you towards your nearest coin.
Aim + Strike (choose it in the menu): tap or drag on the board to aim, set the power bar, then press Strike. Keyboard: ←/→ aim, ↑/↓ power, A/D move the striker, Space strikes.
Extra shots and the queen
Pocket one of your own coins (or the queen) and you shoot again.
You may pocket the queen once you have pocketed at least one of your coins (a coin in the same shot counts too).
Then cover it: pocket one of your own coins in the same shot or your very next one. If you don't, the queen goes back to the centre.
Fouls
Striker pocketed: your turn ends and one of your pocketed coins goes back to the centre (if you have one). A queen pocketed on that shot goes back too.
Opponent coins you pocket count for them. You can't pocket their last coin: it goes back and your turn ends.
Your own last coin can't go in before the queen is covered: it goes back and your turn ends.
Scoring
The board winner scores 1 point for every opponent coin still on the board, plus 3 if they covered the queen.
Matches: 1 board, 3 boards (most points wins; if level, most boards won) or first to 25 points. White breaks the first board, then the break alternates.
Modes
vs Computer: you play White from the bottom; the computer plays Black from the top. Easy misses often, Medium plays solid cut shots, Hard rarely misses.
Pass & play: 2 players (White against Black) or 4 players, where partners sit across from each other and share a colour. Turns go round the table and the board turns so the shooter is always at the bottom.
