How to play
Your bat
Drag anywhere on the table area to move your bat; it follows your finger with a little lag. With a mouse, the bat follows the pointer.
Put the bat in the ball's path after it bounces on your side. Where the ball meets the bat sets the direction: the left edge sends it left, the right edge right, the middle straight.
Swipe towards the net as you hit for pace and topspin. A fast swipe is a smash: hard to return, but it can fly long. Swiping sideways adds sidespin, swiping back gives a soft chop.
Smash high balls: a hard hit from low down has to clear the net and may go long.
Keys: arrows or WASD move the bat (hold Shift to move faster and hit harder), Space serves, Esc pauses.
Serving
The server holds the ball behind the end line. Swipe forward or tap to serve. The serve must bounce once on your side, then on the other side.
The serve changes every 2 points, and every point from 10–10. A serve that touches the net and then lands correctly is a let: serve again.
Winning points
After every shot the ball must bounce once on the other player's side before they hit it back.
You lose the point if you miss the ball, let it bounce twice, hit it into the net, off the table (out), or onto your own side.
The first to 11 wins the game, but you must win by 2: from 10–10 (deuce) play goes on until someone is 2 points clear. Play 1 game, or best of 3 or 5.
Modes
vs Computer: Easy, Medium or Hard. Harder computers react faster, move quicker, aim closer to the lines and smash more. Your wins are saved on this device.
2 players on one device: each player drags on their own half of the screen (bottom and top when the phone is upright, left and right when it is sideways), both at once. On a keyboard, WASD moves the first player and the arrows the second; Space and Enter serve.
